More details and info will follow as we get closer to the season, but we wanted to share these dates early to get them on your calendar.  We look forward to seeing you in the spring!

Our association continues to grow and with addition of the new Fernbrook Athletic fields, we have opportunities to host tournaments.  So next season, we will need to implement required volunteer hours for registered families.  We are still working through the details but just wanted to share this change for next season as soon as possible,  If you would like to volunteer as the Volunteer/Dibs coordinator and help the association plan for these activities, please email with your interest and contact information.

Tournament Planning Committee

Volunteers needed!

With the new Fernbrook Athletic Fields, the MG Lacrosse Association is looking to host tournaments right here in Maple Grove next summer.  Like any event, we want to start planning early and would like to invite association members to get involved and share their expertise and skills to help us organize and plan for these tournaments.  We hope to have 5-10 people who will help generate ideas and plan for these events starting this fall and meeting consistently leading up to next season.  If you are interested in joining the committee, or just looking for more info about how you can get involved, please email mgylax@gmail.comIt will be a great way to fulfill your required volunteer hours.  We look forward to your involvement and are excited for next season!

MGSH Announces New Head Lacrosse Coach

Congratulations to Joe Weichert, the new Maple Grove High School Boys Lacrosse Coach!

Mr. Weichert coached MGLaX's Boys U12A team last season and has recently been named the Maple Grove High School Lacrosse Head Coach.  Mr. Weichert has 9 years of experience in club lacrosse and numerous youth programs, including 8 years with True Lacrosse MN, where he has held multiple director roles and coached many of their AA State teams. Joe grew up in Mendota Heights and graduated from Saint Thomas Academy in 2013. Joe has played lacrosse since the age of 6 and after a successful high school career playing lacrosse, went on to the University of Colorado Boulder where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Finance.

According to a posting on the Maple Grove High School website… When asked why he coaches, Joe puts it simply: “I like to change lives, Pete Carrol puts it great saying", When you believe in someone more than they believe in themselves, you become more than a coach or a mentor, you become a life changer. "That is what I strive to do as a coach, to give kids the tools to succeed not only as lacrosse players but in all facets of life.” When asked why Maple Grove, Joe says: “The community in Maple Grove is primed for this. It is a perfect place to build a legacy, with a rich history just waiting to be added to. I look forward to making a lasting impact and building something very special.”

Congratulations Joe, we are excited and proud that you are going to continue building a great community and legacy around MGLaX. Best of luck next year!

The Registration "Home" is not currently available.
