6U Boys (ages 4-6) and 8U (ages 4-8) Girls Summer Program

MAPLE GROVE YOUTH LACROSSE provides a fun opportunity for boys and girls to be introduced to the game of Lacrosse.  No experience necessary, each practice will focus on developing basic skills, teamwork and lead into 4 on 4 style play with an emphasis on growing a passion for the sport.  This development league is for kids in the Maple Grove High School Boundary.  Your player is eligible if he/she just completed pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first, or second grade prior to the summer season.

Age Groups: Boys 4-6 year olds & Girls 4-8 year olds

Equipment needed: All participants must wear a mouth guard and boys must wear a protective cup. Cleats are preferred but not required.  Lacrosse stick should be an appropriate gender based stick for the participant as we encourage either a boys or girls stick to learn basic skills with the appropriate style stick.  In addition: (Boys) - helmet with a cage and gloves (Girls) – goggles and gloves.

Optional Equipment: For Boys, other equipment includes shoulder and elbow pads.  Hockey gear is fine and works well for this.

This is a co-ed program however where appropriate boys and girls are split into separate groups.
