Program Overview
This years 6U program will be designed to keep kids moving and playing various skill-based games and drills to teach them the core skills (scooping, shooting, cradling, etc.) of lacrosse. The program is co-ed and will be low contact.
MGLAX will also collaborate with various other associations to establish 6U skills based scrimmages, games, and jamborees. Planning for this part of the offering is still in the very early phase of development and is contingent on interest from other local area lacrosse associations. A in-house league may be established based on the total number of registrants.
Timing of Program
The 6U programs start will coincide with the start of our summer season ( and run through the end of July. Practices are expected to start at the end of April. Practices will be approximately 1hr and be held one or two times a week at the Fernbrook Athletic Fields. Some practices may be held at Basswood Elementary based on scheduling. MGLAX will provide a skills coach for the summer program.

Registration
Registration for 6U will remain open until the summer season kicks off. The registration fee is $50 and includes a mesh jersey and shorts. A USA lacrosse membership will also be required. Please continue to share details of our program to your friends and family!
