In association with the Great Northern Lacrosse League, Maple Grove Youth Lacrosse Association will host an 8-week summer program for girls in the 8U, 10U, and 12U age levels. This 12v12 (12U) and 7v7 (8U & 10U) style play will develop athleticism, encourage teamwork amongst their peers, and build confidence.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- The spring program runs from the beginning of April through May
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Our girls 14U program is only available in the summer as most girls in this age bracket are able to play for their respective High School teams. Optional practices will be held starting in mid to late May to allow for team building and “shaking off the rust” before the official start to the summer season.
Based off registration numbers, if any particular age group has a large amount of participants, tryouts will be held and “A” and “B” teams will be created. This will be communicated to families prior to the start of the season via email.
COACHES NEEDED. For our programs to run smoothly and effectively we are always looking for volunteers to help in coaching and assistant coaching positions. Coaching responsibilities are counted as DIBS. If you are interested or have any questions please reach out to Joan Dostal.
The Great Northern Lacrosse League is a branch of Homegrown lacrosse. They provide a fun, safe and supportive environment where youth associations and their teams can compete, learn and grow.
